Islamabad:The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has granted Higher Time Scale (HTS) promotions to 59 teachers of various grades serving in Federal Government Colleges, according to an official notification issued on Tuesday.
The breakdown of the promotion reveals that two female professors in BPS-20 have been elevated to BPS-21. Additionally, 16 male and 8 female Associate Professors in BPS-19 have been granted HTS of BPS-20. Furthermore, 15 male and 18 female Assistant Professors of BPS-18 have been granted HTS of BPS-19.
The notification clarified that the time scale upgrades are subject to several conditions: the existing service rules, nomenclature and post tiers, and seniority of officers will remain unaffected. Moreover, there will be no consecutive grant of HTS. Satisfactory Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) are required with no pending inquiries, and fulfilment of requisite service length.
The Federal Government College Teachers Association (FGCTA) lauded the Ministry and the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) for their prompt action in processing the time scale promotions. Prof. Akram Khan Khosa, President of FGCTA, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the recipients and praised the authorities for recognising the longstanding contributions of the teaching faculty. “This is a moment of pride for the entire teaching community. We congratulate our colleagues who have received their due HTS and appreciate the Ministry’s timely efforts,” Prof. Khosa stated.
