CHARSADDA: A councillor-elect was shot dead and two other persons sustained injuries when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on them near Kuladhair on Tuesday, sources said. The sources said that Attaul Haq, who was elected as a councilor on the peasant seat, along with his friends Jan Alam and Abdullah, was on an evening walk on the Ghani Khan Road when two motorcyclists came and opened fire on them. The councillor, Attaul Haq, was killed on the spot while his two friends sustained critical injuries and were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar. It was learnt that the accused escaped while leaving their bike behind, which had been taken into custody by the police.
