Ulema urged to promote brotherhood

JHANG: Acting DCO Shaukat Ali Khichi has urged the Ulema to play their role to promote brotherhood among the people.
Addressing a meeting of the District Peace Committee here on Tuesday, he said that the participants of Majalis and processions would be frisked with metal detectors for security purpose. The DCO said that the Punjab government would not tolerate publication of controversial literature and stern action would be taken against the violators. Later, the acting DCO visited the district jail and inspected its kitchen and visitors’ sheds.
