Pervaiz Elahi urges consensus in finalisation of ECP members

ISLAMABAD: The names of new members of Election Commission of Pakistan should be finalized after evolving consensus of all parliamentary parties, former Punjab chief minister Chaurdhry Pervaiz Elahi said on Tuesday.
Leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah should consult parliamentary party leaders as ECP members appointed with consensus were imperative for free fair and transparent
elections in the country, he said in a statement. Meanwhile Ch Pervaiz Elahi visited MNA Ghulam Sarwar Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf at his home and offered Fateha on the sad demise of his brother Siddique Khan, a Punjab Assembly member.
