Rs 1.297b approved as cost estimates for 16 roads

JHANG: The district government Monday approved Rs 1.297 billion cost estimates of construction, dualization and improvement of sixteen city roads.
Acting District Coordination Officer (DCO) Shaukat Ali Khichi told reporters that in compliance with a directive issued by the Punjab Chief Minister office, he asked District Officer Roads to prepare estimates of city roads urgently that required construction and improvement.
The DCO said a summary for the release of special grant Rs 1.297 billion has also been submitted with the Punjab Chief Minister office and after the release of funds the work on the projects will be started.
The DCO said the EDO (Works and Services) and Provincial Highway Department’s Executive Engineer have also been directed to ensure completion of all ongoing schemes of roads and buildings of the district.
