CTD cop shot dead in DI Khan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A cop of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) was killed and the security guard of a private bank sustained injuries when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them here on Wednesday, police officials said.
They said that the gunmen riding a motorcycle targetted Head Constable CTD Tariq Jamshed when he was withdrawing cash from the automated teller machine (ATM) of the Dera branch of Al Baraka Bank in Fawwara Chowk.
They said the cop and the security guard of the bank Muhammad Ramazan suffered serious bullet-wounds in the incident. They said the police shifted the injured to a hospital where Tariq Jamshed succumbed to his injuries. The body was handed over to the relatives after autopsy. The condition of the injured bank security guard was stated to be critical.
