Old enmity claims three lives in Kohat, five injured: Police

KOHAT: At least three persons were allegedly gunned down while five others critically injured in an armed attack of their rivals over long running feud in Sayab village of Gumbat Kohat here on Monday.
According to police, the complainant said in an application that after victory of Zabihullah as General Councilor, people of Barati Banda came to congratulate him at his residence. Suddenly the alleged killers Ghani Badsha, Naik Badshah, and Arshid Khan sons of Ali Badshah and their accomplice Zafar Iqbal s/o Arab stormed in and opened indiscriminate firing.
As a result, Tahirullah, Sanaullah and Hazrat Bilal died on the spot, while Hakeeem Khan, Azeem Khan, Mushtaraf Khan, Zafrullah and Hameedullah sustained critical injuries.Police rushed to the incident site and shifted the bodies and injured to KDA Hospital Kohat.
It is to be mentioned here that the reason behind the killings was old enmity started over the murder of Ghani Badshah’s daughter in Gandyali village Kohat.Police have registered a case and started further investigation.
