LAHORE:Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial Tuesday emphasised the significance of the Chief Minister Punjab Internship Programme during a progress review meeting at Punjab Stadium.
The meeting, attended by DG Sports Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry and other senior officials, focused on maximising youth engagement in the internship programme and reviewing ongoing sports development projects. Sial directed officials to address internees’ issues promptly, including card delivery problems and invalid addresses. He highlighted that 16 out of 27 sports schemes will be completed in February, including the Rawalpindi swimming pool and Shafiq Chishti Stadium in Sahiwal. Sial said: "Our youth possess immense talent, and this internship programme provides a crucial platform for their development and contribution to the country's progress." The review also covered construction plans for new sports facilities in Nishtar Park Sports Complex and various grounds across the province.
