KHAR: Activists of the Bajaur Development Movement (BDM), social organization, on Monday staged a protest to register anger at the rising lawlessness in the Bajaur district. Speaking to the protesters, BDM President Hakeem Zaheer Salarzai criticized the alarming increase in crimes and loss of lives in alleged police encounters.
He added that neither the public was safe nor was there freedom of expression in the region, adding social activists were faced with serious threats. Salarzai demanded immediate steps to curb the growing lawlessness, emphasizing that they would not remain silent and continue to fight for the establishment of justice and democratic values.
