PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday sought reports from the federal and provincial governments on petitions seeking the recovery of missing persons.
PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim heard the petitions.The deputy attorney general appeared on behalf of the federal government, while the additional advocate general represented the provincial government.
The court was informed that reports had been submitted in six cases by the provincial government, whereas reports for four cases were still pending. The court was informed that the federal government had yet to submit reports in all 10 cases. Taking note of the delay, the court directed the federal government to submit reports in all cases and the provincial government to provide reports for the remaining four ones.
