Saad, Anusha meet Siraj to discuss ToRs
LAHORE: A government committee consisting of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Anusha Rahman on Sunday met Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq to discuss terms of reference (ToRs) for the Panama Leaks probe.
In the meeting, Siraj expressed his concern upon the ToRs suggested by the government and stated that the government was not serious to the issue and demanded that the deadlock persisting over the matter be resolved at the earliest. He said all political parties wanted indiscriminate action against corruption.
Khawaja Saad presented Siraj with the amended version of the draft of proposals regarding the ToRs that included articles about indiscriminate action against corruption. He said the government was dealing with the matter with seriousness and intended that all corrupt elements be netted.
