TAKHTBHAI: The grand jirga of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl on Saturday asked the JUIF top brass to annul the party recent elections and make arrangements for the transparent re-elections under the supervision of provincial and district leaders in the Takhtbhai tehsil.
Speaking at the general council, JUIF leaders, including Allama Muhammad Siddique, Mufti Ismail Mahmood, Mufti Fayaz Amin, Mufti Fazal Karim, Maulana Qari Nisar Madani, Alamgir Lala, Haji Abdul Wahab, Sadar Safi, Maulana Qari Tufail Rehman Deobandi, Chairman Qari Abdul Rasheed, Dr Iftikhar, Dr Asghar, Maulana Abdul Haleem, Haji Jamil, Haji Fazal Rabi, Maulana Fazalullah and other workers urged the party leaders to form an impartial jirga to resolve the differences.
They reposed full confidence in the district, provincial and central leadership and demanded immediate annulment of the party elections in the Takhtbhai tehsil. They called for fresh, transparent elections under the supervision of provincial and district leaders.
The speakers said that they were sincere workers of JUIF and would remain loyal to the party till their last breath. However, hundreds of workers rebelled, expressing no confidence in the tehsil amir and general secretary.
The speakers condemned the alleged rigging in the party elections and criticized the issuance of show-cause notices to founding workers.
