Islamabad: A five-day training program for senior health officials from District Qila Saifullah, Balochistan, concluded successfully at the Health Services Academy (HSA) in Islamabad, aiming to strengthen healthcare delivery and management practices in the region.

The comprehensive training, held from January 6 to January 10, focused on advanced hospital management strategies, equipping participants with modern tools to address healthcare challenges effectively. Facilitated by renowned faculty and healthcare management experts, the program emphasized leadership development, patient safety, healthcare data management, and crisis response.

Participants visited both public and private health facilities in Islamabad, including the Federal General Hospital and Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital, to gain practical insights into best practices in hospital management.

“This initiative reflects HSA’s commitment to empowering healthcare leaders in Balochistan, enabling them to deliver quality healthcare services across the province,” said Prof. Dr. Abdullah Khan, Registrar of Health Services Academy, during the closing ceremony.

The sessions covered critical areas such as strategic healthcare management led by Prof. Dr. Babar Tasneem Shaikh and Dr. Ahmad Abdullah, as well as crisis management and technological innovations facilitated by HSA Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan. Field visits and hands-on case studies provided practical exposure to healthcare operations, while interactive discussions fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants.

The program was organized in collaboration with the Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) and the District Health Office of Qila Saifullah. The HSA team, including Director ORIC Prof. Babar T. Shaikh, Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Abdullah, and Assistant Director Mr. Shoaib Sultan Kayani, played key roles in facilitating the program.

The participants were awarded certificates during the formal closing ceremony, marking the completion of an initiative aimed at fostering innovation and excellence in hospital management to enhance healthcare services in Balochistan.
