DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The fire re-erupted at four locations in the forests of Koh-e-Suleman in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday night, could not be extinguished and was spreading to the olive and pine trees.
A sudden blaze broke out at four places in the high mountains of Koh-e-Suleman in the merged tehsil of Darazinda in Dera Ismail Khan. The flames could be seen from a far distance.
Local residents said that inferno had started at four different locations in the foothills of Koh-e-Suleman - one in the north of the mountain near the village of Tajri, while another was in the south near the village of Almar Kalaan. According to the locals, the fire was causing damage to precious plants and trees, including olive, pine nut, mesquite, and wild almond trees.
They said that wildlife and birds in the area were also being affected by the fire. Sources said that the fire had not been brought under control.
