Islamabad: The Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan (RCIM), in collaboration with the CDA Health Directorate, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp and Rotary Immunization Centre today at Merabadi G-12, Islamabad.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Irshad Ali Jokhio, Director General of the CDA Health Directorate, alongside Mr. Shabbir Malik, President of RCIM, and Ms. Tayaba Naheed Gull, Member of the National Polio Plus Committee.
The initiative provided free medical consultations to approximately 300 individuals, including 150 women, 120 children, and 30 men. A team of professional doctors and paramedical staff conducted health check-ups, offering vital healthcare services to the underserved community.
As part of the event’s focus on eradicating polio, children under the age of five were vaccinated and immunised with polio drops, reinforcing Rotary's commitment to global health and disease prevention.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Shabbir Malik emphasized, RCIM is dedicated to serving the community through impactful initiatives like this medical camp. "Together with our partners, we are committed to ensuring access to essential healthcare services for all. This collaborative effort between RCIM and CDA Health Directorate exemplifies the power of partnerships in addressing public health challenges and fostering healthier communities," he said.
