ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani Friday presented a formula to ensure the presence of ministers in the House.
Gilani had adopted the formula during his tenure as prime minister.
Commenting on the question of non-attendance of ministers in the House during the speakers’ conference here, Gilani said when he was prime minister, the ministers would not come to the House. He took notice of it and decided that he would regularly attend the House.
“So, when I started visiting the House regularly, not only the ministers but also the government members of the assembly would ensure their presence in the House, and even the officials of the ministries were also present in the session,” he said.
