LAHORE:Traffic wardens prevented an attempted kidnapping and saved the life of a 12-year-old boy in Gajjumata area on Monday.
Traffic Inspector Khizar Bhatti and his fellow wardens acted when they noticed a suspicious motorcycle carrying a child. The unnamed motorcyclists were attempting to abduct the boy when the traffic officers signalled them to stop. Upon seeing the police, the suspects abandoned the child and fled the scene.
The boy later revealed that the suspects had attempted to drug him the previous night by making him inhale narcotic substances. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Ammara Athar commended the efforts of senior Warden Khizar Bhatti and his team for their alertness in preventing the crime.
