Dacoits injure two bank guards, made off with Rs4.3m

GUJRANWALA: Six dacoits looted Rs 4.3 million from a bank at Qila Chand on Thursday.
The dacoits broke into the bank and made off with the amount. They also injured security guards Nawaz and Akram when they offered resistance to them. The dacoits escaped after damaging the CCTV cameras installed in the bank. Police have started investigation.

Judge Ahmad Zia acquitted 16 accused after recording statements of the applicants through skype. The applicants Zahid and Asim told the court they wanted to withdraw their application as they had already made an agreement with the accused persons.
Earlier, the applicants had alleged that Shahid, Tariq, Bashir and others had tortured them over a minor issue. Later, the applicants went abroad for job and the case had been lying pending.
