Welfare projects being completed in transparent way: DCO

JHANG: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Shaukat Khichi Monday said the Punjab government was completing welfare projects in a transparent manner on time and also resolving problems of the people.
Addressing the EDOs moot held at his office, the DCO said role of EDOs and Assistant Commissioners in extending help was very vital. He urged them to combat ‘Qabza Mafia and corruption to implement the welfare projects.
The ADC/Administrator TMA and ACs also attended the moot.
The DCO said quick development of the district and resolution of problems of the common man was their agenda.
He said timely-completion of uplift projects and provision of benefits of the projects to the people as early as possible should be the top priority of the EDOs.
He said the locals were facing troubles due to heaps of garbage in the district.
He directed the EDO and the DO Health to take steps to improve basic and rural health centres.
Khichi said the Punjab government had ordered action against illegal housing societies.
He directed the EDO (Works and Services) having charges of DO Roads and DO Buildings to be present in the district to ensure early completion of ongoing development projects of roads and buildings by observing quality of work before the end of fiscal year.
