KOHAT: At least five persons, including three kids, were killed and eight others wounded in different areas as a windstorm hit parts of the Kohat district on Thursday.
Local sources said that roofs and walls of several houses collapsed in Mangal Bibi and Tangi Banda villages due to the storm.
The windstorm has also taken its toll on the standing crops and orchards, the residents said.
The electricity poles have also fallen on the roadside and in the fields, disconnecting power supply to parts of the district.
The residents of the affected areas have asked the authorities concerned to restore power supply.
