Wanted militant arrested in Hangu
HANGU: Police arrested a wanted militant belonging to a banned terrorist organisation during an operation in Samana Kandowala area on Wednesday.
Police sources said that the militant identified as one Nabeel Rehman alias Magu was wanted to the police in various cases of bombings and attacks on personnel of law enforcement agencies.
He was arrested in Samana Kandowala area in the jurisdiction of Balyameena Police Station, they said. Following the arrest, the man was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the police arrested four wanted in the limits of Doaba Police Station on Wednesday.Station House Officer, Doaba Police Station, told reporters that they conducted raids in various areas including Karbogha, Chapri Naryab, Ghlo Cheena, Darsamand, and Tora Wari area and arrested four wanted criminals identified as Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Zahoor, Rafique and Bakhtiar Khan.
A Kalashnikov, two pistols, a gun and ammunition as well as over one kilogram of hashish were also recovered from their possession, he added.
