Fazl denies meeting Zardari
BIRMINGHAM: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman denied rumours of meeting former President and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari in England, private media reported on Tuesday.
Fazl said that it is not his mission to hold meetings after arriving in the United Kingdom. He added that it is mere coincidence that he, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari are in the UK at the same time.
He denied rumours about any meeting between him and Asif Zardari, adding that the former president is his good friend and that he has good ties with him.
Earlier, reports regarding the meeting of both leaders in the UK surfaced according to which, both leaders discussed about the political situation of the country that arose after the Panama Leaks issue.
