for education sector: Mashhood
Says summer vacation schedule to be implemented strictly

FAISALABAD: Punjab Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that the Punjab government has introduced revolutionary reforms for strengthening the education sector and mission of “Paro Punjab Baro Punjab” will be achieved under the vision of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif with the assistance of private sector.
He was addressing a meeting with the representatives of Joint Action Committee of private schools at the DCO Office here on Tuesday. MNA Haji Akram Ansari, MPA Faqir Hussain Dogar, DCO Salman Ghani, EDO Education Bashir Zahid and others were also present in the meeting. The Education minister appreciated the role of private educational institutions and said that they were playing prominent role in providing quality education. He also lauded the positive role and cooperation of the Joint Action Committee of private schools for following the schedule of summer vacation announced by the Punjab government. He said that summer vacation had to start immediately due to scorching heat. He warned that the schools would be sealed in case of violating the summer vacation schedule of the Punjab government besides imposing heavy fine on them. He assured that the programme of holding of summer camps in the educational institutions would be announced shortly. The minister informed that the divisional seminars would be held during the next month to compile the recommendations for amending the law regarding private schools. MNA Haji Akram Ansari and MPA Faqir Hussain Dogar said that public and private sectors equally working for promoting the education and they should be on one page. Representatives of private schools including Sadaqat Hussain Lodhi, Khalid Hayat, Sh Naseem Ahmad, Mian Nadeem, Rana Tahir Saleem and Rana Muqarrab Elahi appreciated the education policy of the Punjab government and assured their all-out cooperation for following the schedule of summer vacation. Later, the minister while talking to newsmen said that the government writ would be implemented for implementing the summer vacation schedule. He said that a number of development projects were being completed for provision of missing facilities in the government schools. He said that the children of kiln labourers would be imparted education for their bright future. He said that foolproof security had been ensured in the educational institutions.
