Asif, Babar out of 6-Red Snooker Championship
KARACHI: Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif and Babar Masih crashed in the quarter-finals of the fifth edition of 6-Red Snooker Championship 2016 in Abu Dhabi.
According to the information made available by the Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA), here on Sunday, Muhammad Rais Senzahi of Afghanistan outsmarted Babar 6-3 with the frame scores of 41-14, 44-0, 0-72, 21-29, 34-24, 0-72, 33-20, 43-7, 42-0.
Pankaj Advani of India defeated Asif 6-2 with the scores of 43-4, 39-4, 63-12, 18-27, 29-40, 44-4, 49-0, 49-8.Pakistan’s reigning national champion Mohammad Bilal had been eliminated in the pre-quarter-finals.
Pankaj opened the scoring with a break of 42 in the first frame and went on to pocket the next couple of frames as well to move into a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-11-frame encounter.
