Shopkeepers fined

CHAKWAL: Assistant Commissioner Shahid Yaqoob Tuesday visited shops at Chakwal city and fined shopkeepers on charges of violating regulations.
The AC fined Rs 20,000 to sweet shop owner Saeed, Rs 10,000 to bakery owner Sahkir, Rs 15,000 to sweet shop owner Khuram Shahzad and Rs 20,000 to sweet shop owner Muhammad Shoaib over unhygienic conditions at the workplaces. The AC warned shopkeepers more strict action if regulations were not implemented.
NARCOTICS RECOVERED: Kallar Kahar police and Neela police recovered Charas and an illegal shotgun.
Sub-inspector Ghulam Abbas recovered 1,013 gram charas from accused Kamran Raiz of village Bharpur.
Neela police arrested accused Kabir Nazeer of village Wahdary and recovered a shotgun from him. Cases were registered against the accused.
