Minister flays PPP leader for supporting criminals
From Our Correspondent
OKARA: Punjab Irrigation Minister Yawar Zaman has said that no action under the National Action Plan is being taken against the peaceful and law-abiding tenants at Okara Military Farms (OMF), Kulyana Estate, Renala Estate and Probinabad Stud Farms.
Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he said that the action was being taken against the criminal elements under the NAP and the tenants were happy with it. He criticised PPP leader Latif Khosa for supporting the alleged criminal elements during his visit to Okara some days ago. Meanwhile, JI district ameer Dr Liaqat Ali Kausar also criticised PPP leader Latif Khosa for sympathising with the alleged criminal elements, who had been ruling the tenants of state lands.
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf former regional organiser Syed Ali Husnain Naqvi, while talking to newsmen, condemned the PPP leadership for supporting the alleged criminal elements in the state land villages. He claimed that the NAP action had freed the tenants from the slavery of these criminal elements.
