Man held with 11 passports, other documents

GUJRANWALA: The FIA arrested a man with 11 passports and other documents during a raid at a juice shop here on Monday.
On a tip-off, the FIA team raided the shop of accused Muhammad Athar and arrested him. Police also recovered 11 passports and other documents from him. The accused was involved in sending people abroad illegally. Meanwhile, the FIA arrested two agents. They are Tanvir Hussain and Amir Butt. They were wanted in a case registered on an application of deportee Malik Muhammad Nasir in which he alleged that the accused were involved in sending people to Europe and other countries on bogus documents.
DEMO: Dozens of people staged a demonstration against land grabbers and police in front of the CPO Office here on Monday.
The protesters said that some influential persons had illegally occupied the land of Mehnga Masih while Aroop police were allegedly not taking any action against the accused. The protesters dispersed when the police high-ups assured them of taking action against the accused.
