LDA to build link road to Sheikhupura

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has planned to construct a 13-km-long road from Mohlanwal, Multan Road to Jaranwala Road, Sharaqpur, in district Sheikhupura, in collaboration with private partner.
The project will be executed on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis under the Punjab Public Private Partnership Act 2014, a press release issued by Lahore Development Authority said. It added that under this arrangement, the private partner shall be required to design, engineer, finance, construct, maintain and operate the project for a period of twenty-five (25) years in exchange for a concession to exclusively collect tolls from the traffic.
Lahore Development Authority will be responsible for acquisition of land, provision of clear right of way and shifting of services for this project, it maintained, adding the authority has invited interested local and foreign parties of strong financial standing that have capability to bring together necessary skills and resources to submit bids through a single-stage three envelope process.
It concluded that bidding documents can be downloaded from the Lahore Development Authority website (http://www.lda.gop.pk) free of cost, after registration or obtained from the undersigned at a cost of PKR 2,000/- between 8am to 3pm.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Rs 50,000,000 in the form of a bank pay order or an irrevocable bank guarantee to be eligible.
