LAHORE: Former Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez has claimed some players had little interest in game during the Test series against Australia.

Hafeez claimed that he found several players (4 or 5) sleeping in the dressing room during a Test match against Australia. He revealed this on the YouTube channel ‘Club Prairie Fire’ while talking to Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist. The revelation came after a disappointing T20 World Cup 2024 exit with losses against USA and India.

He emphasised the importance of focus during matches, both on and off the field. He said he respected players’ personal lives, but professionalism takes precedence during games.
