Man killed by relatives for cutting trees

FAISALABAD: A man was killed by his relatives for cutting trees from their fields at Chak 141/RB.

Qadir, Shabbir and others allegedly opened fire at their relatives Rashid Ali and Ahsan Ahmad. As a result, Rashid was killed on the spot while Ahsan was injured. Chak Jhumra police have registered a case.

 

Woman shot dead for resisting rape bid

FAISALABAD: Two people killed a married woman for resisting rape attempt at Chak 489/GB. Two people, including Arshad, allegedly tried to rape Azra Bibi. On resistance, the accused shot her dead. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

CRICKETER MURDERED: A cricketer was killed by other players over a minor issue at Chak 8/JB. Akhtar Hussain was allegedly shot dead by Ali Hussain and other players after an exchange of hot words during a cricket match. Police are investigating.

 

JI leader, his son die in accident

FAISALABAD: Three people, including the Jamaat-e-Islami leader and his son, were killed in two road accidents here.

In the first incident, JI leader Dr Muhammad Shoaib and his son Mian Muhammad Younis were killed in an accident on motorway while coming to Faisalabad from Lahore. They were laid to rest in a graveyard at Batala Colony. A large number of JI activists attended the funeral prayers. In the second incident, Samar was on his way when a speeding bus hit him after colliding with two rickshaws at Noorpur. As a result, Samar was killed on the spot. After the incident, the locals set the bus on fire. However, the bus driver managed to escape. Police have registered a case.
