BAHAWALPUR: World Press Freedom Day was observed in Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar districts on Tuesday with great enthusiasm and commitment to maintain and protect press freedom in the country.
Bahawalpur Union of Journalists (BhUJ) arranged a seminar chaired by senior journalists and president BhUJ A Majeed Gill and PFUJ vice-president Muhammad Ameen Abbasi.
In Bahawalnagar different journalist organizations took out rallies in this regard.
LIQUOR RECOVERED: Civil Lines police arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered 300 foreign branded liquor bottles from his possession.
The police raided a house on Darbar Mahal Road and arrested Faheem Khan. Police are investigating.
