87 power thieves booked

OKARA: On the report of Lesco Hujra Shah Muqeem sub-division assistant manager operation Ahsan Aziz, police on Friday booked 87 people for power theft.
The Lesco team raided at Dhulyana village near Hujra Shah Muqeem and found that 87 people were allegedly involved in power theft. They included Altaf Shah, Ata Muhammad and Manzoor Ahmad.
‘FIR LODGED AGAINST LAWYERS BASELESS’: DBA president Rai Arshad has said that an FIR lodged against the lawyers is baseless.
He said this while addressing a meeting held at the DCO Office on Friday. DCO Sucrat Aman Rana, D&SJ Malik Muhammad Arshad, DPO Muhammad Faisal Rana, Wapda SE Nazir Ahmad Khan and Lesco officials and DBA office-bearers were also present. The DBA president told that all the three heads of the district wanted to reconcile the lawyers and Lesco authorities issue. He alleged that the Lesco officials used abusive language against the lawyers in a rally. The DBA president said that the lawyers would face the case if the matter was not resolved amicably.
