Rulers trying to misguide people: Qadri
LAHORE
PAT chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has alleged that the rulers have committed another financial crime by using national money for media advertisements on clarifying allegations against them for political reasons to hide their corruption and mismanagements.
Addressing a meeting of PAT media cell on Thursday, he alleged that every fabricated story by the rulers to cover up their misdeed was caught in a day or two and they used state money on political advertisements was financial crime. He said ICIJ even today stood by its story but the rulers were trying to misguide the people by issuing misleading advertisements to hide their crimes.
“Under the present laws no influential robber or those hailing from elite class can never be prosecuted and our stance has been verified by the Senate Standing Committee. A final push was needed to oust the corrupt rulers once and for all,” Qadri said.
Dr Tahirul Qadri said the prices of petroleum have fallen significantly in the international market but the government has failed to give the benefits of lower oil prices to people, He said instead of imposing new taxes in the coming budget the government should expand the tax net and make efforts to bring back all the looted money stacked up in foreign banks by Pakistanis.
The PAT chairman said it is only PAT which is protesting in different districts of the country against corruption despite the fact that false cases are being formed against the workers. He alleged hundreds of PAT workers are facing false and factious cases in many courts.
