PPP leaders meet Sheikh Rasheed, invite him to moot
RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan People’s Party delegation met Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed at his residence Lal Haveli on Wednesday, while PPP delegation invited Sheikh Rasheed to attend the opposition’s conference which will be held on May 2. Both the parties exchanged views on Panama Leaks.
Talking to the media, Rasheed said he demands eradication of corruption and dishonesty and has only one agenda to follow, ‘Go Nawaz Go’. He said the country with a corrupt prime minister never gets loans from international firms. PPP’s senior leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said the PPP wants to unite the opposition over Panama Leaks and accountability should be started from the PM.
Aitzaz demanded that before the formation of a judicial commission, forensic audit of total assets should be conducted to trace the amount of money transferred abroad. He also demanded that a special law should be passed in order to probe the very case while TORs of the commission should have been formed with consultation. It is strange that rules and regulations to investigate the PM will be formed by him, Aitzaz added.
