238 POs held in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The district police have arrested 238 proclaimed offenders and 24 court absconders during a special crackdown on criminals here.
The crackdown was launched on the orders of CPO Afzal Ahmad Kausar in which 238 POs were arrested including 51 of A category. The police also arrested 196 outlaws for possessing illicit arms and recovered seven Kalashnikovs, 152 pistols, 30 guns, three revolvers and 13 rifles from the possession of the accused. The police also seized a huge quantity of narcotics during the campaign including 557 grams heroin, 44kg charas, 2kg opium and 2,956 liquor bottles. Meanwhile, special squads of the police have been constituted to arrest drug pushers in the district.
OPEN COURT TODAY: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Chairman MPA Sheikh Ejaz Ahmad will hold an open court at the FDA Office on April 23 (today).
During the open court, he will listen to the complaints of the people and issue necessary orders on the spot.
