Four cops held on custodial killing charge
Deceased’s relatives stage demo, block rail traffic

KASUR: On the orders of the DPO, Kot Radha Kishan police have registered a case against four policemen and arrested them on the charges of custodial killing.
They are SI Muhammad Sarwar, constables Aslam, Arshad and Munir. The DPO also suspended them. A case has been registered against them under Section 302/34 of the PPC.
Meanwhile, the family of deceased Nazir along with the area people staged a demonstration by placing the body at a level crossing on Raiwind Road and suspended the rail traffic. The protest was under way till the filing of the report.
Meanwhile, talking to newsmen, the protesters said that Pumbah police post had arrested Nazir, father of five, in a torture case and detained him at the police post where the policemen allegedly tortured him to death. They said that police did not inform them about it and brought his body to the DHQ Hospital mortuary. They said that when they came to know about it, they reached the hospital on Wednesday night and staged a demonstration against police and the duty doctor.
