Murder convict commits suicide in Faisalabad jail

FAISALABAD: A murder convict committed suicide in the Central Jail here on Thursday. The prisoner, Saadi Ahmad Ansari, of Chak 604/GB ended his life by hanging himself in a barrack. A sessions court had awarded him death sentence in a murder case. After rejection of his appeals by the Lahore High Court and the Supreme Court, the president had also rejected his mercy appeal.
