Gang busted

CHAKWAL: City police on Tuesday arrested three members of an inter-provincial gang and recovered booty and weapons from them.
Rafaqat Aziz of Dheedwal village was on his way when three gangsters intercepted him and snatched Rs 200,000 and mobile phones from him. The victim informed the police immediately and the police chased the dacoits and arrested them. The accused were identified as Rafiq Afzal, Ghulam Fareed of Sheikhupura and Bashir Suleman of Lahore. The police also recovered a 30-bore pistol and four bullets from Rafiq, a 30-bore pistol and five bullets from Bashir Suleman and a 30-bore pistol and five bullets from Ghulam Fareed. The police also recovered looted money from the accused persons. The police claimed that the accused persons were allegedly involved in various dacoity cases. The police have registered a case. Meanwhile, Kalar Kahar police arrested proclaimed offender Adil Saleem and recovered a Kalashnikov, 10 bullets and looted money from him. The police have registered a case.
