Dacoit killed in encounter

KASUR: A dacoit was killed in an encounter with police on Ferozepur Road near Kali Pulli on Saturday.
According to DPO Ali Nasir Rizvi, three dacoits snatched Rs 10,000, a mobile phone and other valuables from Zafar at Brat Shah in B-Division police limits. On information, A-Division SHO Malik Tariq, B-Division SHO Kazmi Shah and Sadr SHO M Younis along with their teams cordoned off the area. Seeing police, the dacoits opened fire them. Police also retaliated. As a result, dacoit Imran alias Mani was killed on the spot while his accomplices managed to escape. According to the DPO, the killed dacoit was involved in more than 20 cases.
