Rehman Malik rejects Shehryar’s claims on RAW issue
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party leader Senator Rehman Malik on Thursday strongly rejected the allegations leveled against him by former British diplomat Shehryar Khan Niazi and termed these allegations as ‘lies.’
Earlier, Shahryar Niazi had claimed that former interior minister was briefed by British official about Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) links with Indian spy agency RAW. While talking to the media persons outside the Parliament House, Rehman Malik dubbed the former British diplomat as “liar.” “I written a letter to British Home Ministry in this regard asking for explanation regarding meeting mentioned by Shahryar Niazi” he added. The letter, Malik said, contended that he was never briefed by the British official on MQM’s alleged connections with RAW.
Responding to a question he stated “I doesn’t know as who is signaling the former British diplomat to level such accusations against him,” he reiterated. Answering another question Rehman Malik said “I will resign from senator slot if any one proves my link with Panama Leaks.”
He said that neither PM Nawaz Sharif sent any request to meet Asif Ali Zardari in London not he (Asif Ali Zardari) consulted party in this regard. Moreover, Rehman Malik stated that he would present proofs in International Court regarding Indian spy agency RAW’s anti-Pakistan activities. He clearly stated that RAW was involved in anti-Pakistan activities.
