Two workers die as kiln wall collapses

KASUR: Two kiln workers died when a wall of the kiln collapsed at Bhai Kot village in Pattoki police limits on Thursday.
The labourers, including Muhammad Amin of Sahiwal and Maqbool Ahmad of Kasur, were working at the kiln of Muhammad Iqbal when one of its walls collapsed. As a result, Amin and Ahmad were killed on the spot. Police shifted the bodies to the Pattoki THQ Hospital for autopsy and started investigation.
Teacher jailed for raping student

KASUR: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rai Nawaz Marth on Thursday awarded 14-year imprisonment to a teacher of a tuition centre in a case of kidnapping and raping his student registered with Kasur Sadr police.
According to prosecution, Irfan Ali, who ran a tuition centre, kidnapped his student Shama Bibi about two years ago and raped her for several weeks.
WOMAN RAPED: A woman was raped here. Property dealer Ishaq took Feroze Bibi of Basti Lal Shah to a house in Gulberg Colony on the pretext of showing her house in January where he allegedly raped her. Sadr police have registered a case after three months of the incident.
In another incident, Pattoki City booked three men on the charge of attempting to rape a woman.
According to complainant, three accused, including Adeel and Zeeshan, took the woman ‘S’ to a deserted place on some pretext and attempted to rape her. The accused fled when the victim raised hue and cry.
In yet another incident, accused Muhammad Tariq abducted five-year-old Sohaib and sodomised him at Ashraf Khokhar village. Chunian police are investigating.
