‘Kidnapped boy’ recovered

GUJRANWALA: Police recovered a six-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped for ransom about two days ago.
Talking to journalists on Wednesday, a police spokesman said that Farzana, mother of Abdullah, run a beauty parlor at Chand Da Qila and she had relations with Amjad Gujjar. Farzana sent his son to the house of Amjad for blackmailing, he added.
Earlier, Mushtaq, in an application to Sadr police, claimed that his son Abdullah had been missing since April 11 and a man posing himself as Amjad had demanded Rs 500,000 ransom from him by a phone.
On Tuesday, a police party raided Sheikhupura and recovered the boy from the house of Amjad Gujjar.
DOCTORS STAGE DEMO: Young doctors of the DHQ hospital staged a demonstration to press the government for the acceptance of their demands regarding increase in salaries.
The doctors took out a rally and raised slogans against the government for using delaying tactics in addressing their demands. Speaking on the occasion, the YDA leaders said the government had failed to fulfill the promise of increasing salaries and allowances. Later, the protesters dispersed peacefully.
