Seven held for making fireworks

HAFIZABAD: Police arrested seven people on the charges of making fireworks here on Sunday.
Sukheke police conducted raids and arrested five accused Pervez, Asghar Ali, Ghulam Shabbir, Riasat Ali and Muhammad Akram for making fireworks. Separate cases have been registered against them.
Meanwhile, Hafizabad police raided and arrested two accused Arshad Ali and Nazir Shahzad on the same charges while another accused Saifullah managed to escape.
MAN KILLED ON ROAD: A man was killed in a road accident near Kassoke Bypass on Sunday.
Muhammad Idrees, father of four, was on way home from his shop when a speeding rickshaw hit his motorcycle. As a result, he was injured seriously. He was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
HOUSE BURGLED: An incident of theft was reported at People’s Colony. Thieves entered the house of Rai Inamullah and stole Rs 38,000, a laptop and five tola gold ornaments.
