Mardan shopkeepers
By our correspondents
April 11, 2016
The municipality in Mardan has been trying for the last one year to convince shopkeepers not to encroach upon footpaths on busy roads but in vain. At last, the municipal committee had given a deadline to shopkeepers to remove their encroachments.
It has been more than six months since the deadline has passed, but no action has been initiated so far. Even elected councillors seem helpless before them. Is there anyone to take notice of this blatant violation of law?
