Bahawalpur, Multan play 1-1 draw in Nishan-e-Haider hockey
BAHAWALPUR: Bahawalpur and Multan played a 1-1 draw at the Motiullah Stadium here on Thursday as Riaz Mehar Round of 11th Nishan-i-Haider Hockey Tournament began.
The Tournament is a part of the annual calendar of the PHF.
The match started at a fast pace as both teams showed aggression. They made a number of moves but failed to finish. Bahawalpur forwards missed two chances.
Multan’s Zeeshan Alamdar made a productive move in the 49th minute and scored a beautiful field goal. The match entered an exciting stage as Bahawalpur boys exerted pressure and made a number of ferocious moves.
In the 58th minute Zohaib Khan leveled the score through a beautiful field goal.
Mubarik Ali and Munawwar Hussain supervised the match. Olympian Samiullah Khan was the chief guest.
