Dacoit killed in ‘encounter’

KASUR: A notorious dacoit was killed during an ‘encounter’ with police on Qadi Wind Road.
According to police, Arshad alias Rashu Fuji was in Ganda Sing Wala police custody. On Sunday, the police were taking him to Qadi Wind Road in the Sadar police area for recovery of articles and to arrest his other accomplices. On the way, four gangsters riding on two motorcycles opened fire at the police for the release of Arshad, which was retaliated. After exchange of firing, Arshad was found dead while the four gangsters fled. According to the DPO, Arshad Fuji was involved in several cases of heinous crimes, including bank dacoity, in different areas of Punjab.
