PPP workers leave for Larkana
LAHORE
On 37th death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, convoys of PPP Lahore workers left for Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on buses, trains and cars. President PPP Lahore Samina Khalid Ghurki and Secretary Information Lahore Faisal Mir were present at the departure points to see off workers from different zones of PPP Lahore.
According to a press release, workers were chanting slogans in support of PPP and Bhutto. Buses were decorated with party flags and flexes and revolutionary PPP songs were being played at full volume.
While seeing off workers from her constituency in NA-130 Samina Khalid Ghurki said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the one who gave recognition and rights to the have-nots in our country. He sacrificed his life for democracy in Pakistan.
Secretary information PPP Lahore Faisal Mir said that after 37 years of hanging of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, not a single politician or political worker in Pakistan want to associate himself with Gen Zia-ul-Haq, whereas millions of people from all across Pakistan travel to the mausoleum of ZAB every year and he was also an undisputed hero in the eyes of almost all the politicians of Pakistan.
Quran Khawani: Quran Khwani was organised by Pakistan People's Party Women Wing PP-143 at the residence of Zonal President and former member Lahore District Assembly Talat Khanum Bangash in connection with 37th death anniversary of party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The ceremony was attended by women activists of PPP who also paid rich tribute to the party founder and former Prime Minister for setting a precedent of courage, bravery while not bowing before the dictator.
Speaking on the occasion, Talat Bangash said that mission of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto would continue and party workers were united under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
