QUETTA: Four bodies, including two kidnapped Levies personnel and one polio worker, were found in the Zhob district on Tuesday.
Three polio workers and two Levies personnel were kidnapped on Friday from Murgha Kibzai area of Zhob district.According to Levies sources, two bodies were identified as that of kidnapped Levies officials and one was identified as the driver of the polio team. One dead body is yet to be identified, the sources added.
The Balochistan government has postponed the anti-polio campaign in Quetta, Zhob, Sherani and Sibi districts because of looming security threats.Balochistan health department had established teams toadminister polio drops to children below the age of five years in the aforesaid four districts.
Meanwhile, unidentified armed men also shot dead a man in the Jatak area here. According to police sources, the victim was near Kakar Colony when armed assailants opened fire at him and fled from the scene. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained so far.
Meanwhile, unknown miscreants blew up the 16-inch diameter gas pipeline in Kandhkot in Sindh. Police have confirmed the incident and said that it occurred in Ghora Ghat of Kacha area.The adjacent areas of Kandhkot were deprived of gas after the pipeline was blown up.
