NHA approves dual carriageway

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The NHA has approved Rs 10 billion long-awaited dual carriageway for Dera Multan.
The construction work on the project would start from June this year and a new bridge at Ghazi Ghat on the River Indus has also been included in the project.
The district coordination committee was briefed on Wednesday. The committee was chaired by MNA Sardar Muhammad Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa.
DCO Nadeemul Rehman, DPO Atta Muhammad, MPA Sardar Muhammad Jamal Khan Leghari and officers of other departments attended the meeting.
As per the design, the road would have width of 22.2 metres and the bridge would consist of width of 9.7 metres. The NHA has made contract with a firm in this regard. The road is considered vital in terms of economic uplift.
