2 youth drown in River Sutlej

BAHAWALPUR: Two youth were drowned in River Sutlej on Monday.
According to eyewitnesses, Jamil, a deaf youth, was taking bath in the river when he went deep down in water and drowned near Empress Bridge. In the meantime, his friend Abdul Rehman also jumped into the river to save his friend but he also drowned. Both youth were residents of Basti Horriyan. Efforts were underway to recover the dead bodies till the filing of this report.
